In the Council of Trees

” Will all trees salute the lightbringer before it rests it’s benevolent eye.”

“Wave as of this moment before your leaves wilt and die.”

“Blast this why praise something that bring life as well as a snare.”

“Tis a problem for our neighbors none which know anything of playing fair.”

“You mean those vermin always rattling around tripping over our feet?”

“At least they know that underneath us is one of few safe retreats.”

“Well what about Willow whom passed as of last year?”

“Probably turned into paper I solely fear.”

“Oh Flora stop it your pessimism dries up my sap.”

“Ha, better yours than mine with a trunk crooked as that.”

“But are pests really are best chance at survival?”

“I’d say something but even my nuts are filled with denial.”

“You’re aware that the lightbringer will one day raze us all?”

“Yes, by the words whispered by our kin in the western states awaiting it’s call.”

“Let us salute our kin now scatted to the breeze.”

“And hope the lightbringer take us all in ease.”

There are a number of ways to describe myself but none will ever do justice if any were actually due. My history tells it all and can be best summed by this quote. "...it is not you that is mortal but your body. You are not what your physical shape reveals, but each person is his mind, not the body that a finger can point at." Cicero, On The Commonwealth (54 BCE)
