The King of Glass

The king sits alone in his kingdom of glass

His life in the present reflected in his past,

He loves the world who made him so seeing time as change and continuation as flow,

Though his light is his own it will burn him through,

As the sun rises and sets his kingdom absolute,

The cracks in the wall where the moon and sun sneak in,

Are cleansing to the touch as they wash his skin,

Oh lonely king whos subjects hold their own power,

To love such a world plagued by disaster,

His story to continue in the kingdom of glass

Where he will wait and observe till his kingdom does crash.

There are a number of ways to describe myself but none will ever do justice if any were actually due. My history tells it all and can be best summed by this quote. "...it is not you that is mortal but your body. You are not what your physical shape reveals, but each person is his mind, not the body that a finger can point at." Cicero, On The Commonwealth (54 BCE)
